Dear PS 177 Families,

Welcome back to another incredible school year at PS 177! Whether you're returning after a restful summer or joining our community for the very first time, I am overjoyed to welcome you into the new year with open arms, open hearts, and renewed purpose.

 

Our theme this year remains one that defines us: We are a pack above the rest.

At PS 177, we don’t just work together — we grow together, we lead together, and we lift each other up. Every student, every staff member, and every family is part of a powerful, united community school that is stronger because we move forward as one, as a PACK!

 

This school year, and we are ready! Our hallways are filled with excitement, our classrooms are prepared for learning, and our dedicated staff—your pack leaders—are eager to guide, support, and challenge every student to reach their full potential.

 

I also want to take a moment to celebrate a huge accomplishment from the past year. Thanks to the hard work of our students, teachers, and families, 66% of our students achieved proficiency in ELA, and 67% in Math on the 2024 state exams! These scores are not just numbers—they’re proof of what’s possible when we believe in our students and work together as a united school community. We are so proud, and we are just getting started!
